Belonging Bursary
Christian schools are strongest when they are authentic representations of the Kingdom of God, places where all children feel welcome and have a sense of belonging.
School communities are encouraged to invest in and sustain their own ways to emotionally, physically, and financially support their students and their exceptional needs. Christian schools need support to access the kind of help each unique situation requires. This Bursary is intended to be part of a thoughtful and sustainable plan that is embraced by schools, rather than seen as a sole source of financial resources.
Eligibility
Christian School Foundation Member Schools are eligible for the Belonging Bursary.
The Belonging Bursary is offered to schools, not to specific individuals.
The Belonging Bursary can be used to assist with the cost of qualified staff, equipment, renovations, and certain short-term programs.
The Belonging Bursary can be used to assist with the cost of mental health programs and support. Examples of these could include partial support for a school mental health counsellor position, a behaviour therapist to work with groups of students, or a consultant to develop behaviour plans for students as they model that activity for school staff to implement.
The Foundation typically supports projects for no more than three years.
